Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced local technical sales agent or distributor to lead sales efforts, manage customer relationships, and provide after-sales support for our lithium-ion battery products targeted at defense drone manufacturers. The ideal candidate will combine a strong electrical engineering background with proven technical sales acumen, focusing on building new accounts, collaborating with R&D teams, and ensuring seamless product integration. This role is pivotal in expanding our market presence in Ukraine, with an emphasis on consultative selling and long-term partnership development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales and Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the defense drone manufacturing sector. Build and expand a pipeline of accounts through targeted outreach, networking, and lead generation.
  • Technical Sales Support: Provide in-depth technical consultations to clients, demonstrating how our lithium-ion pouch batteries and battery packs meet their specific requirements for drone applications, including power density, cycle life, safety features, and integration challenges.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Foster strong, ongoing relationships with key stakeholders, including procurement teams, engineers, and executives. Utilize CRM tools to track interactions, forecast sales, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration with R&D Teams: Work closely with customers’ R&D departments to facilitate product design-in processes, offering technical guidance on battery specifications, testing protocols, and customization options to align with their drone system architectures.
  • After-Sales Support: Deliver post-sale technical assistance, including troubleshooting, performance optimization, training, and warranty management to maximize product uptime and client loyalty.
  • Market Analysis and Reporting: Monitor industry trends in defense drones and battery technology, providing insights to internal teams. Prepare sales reports, proposals, and presentations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Travel and Client Engagement: Conduct on-site visits, product demonstrations, and trade show participation in Ukraine and potentially internationally to strengthen client ties.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (e.g., Electronics, Power Systems). Advanced degree or certifications in battery technology is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years in technical sales, preferably in the battery, energy storage, or electronics industry.
  • Proven track record of building new accounts in technical sales environments, with demonstrated revenue growth.
  • Hands-on experience collaborating with customers’ R&D teams to achieve product design-ins and integrations.
  • Prior exposure to lithium-ion battery technology, including pouch cells, battery management systems (BMS), and pack assembly, is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the defense or aerospace sector, particularly drone applications, is advantageous.
  • Skills:
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles, battery chemistry, and power electronics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for non-technical audiences
  • Analytical mindset for market research, competitive analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Fluency in English and Ukrainian; additional languages
  • Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, results-oriented, with a customer-centric approach. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technical environment while managing multiple priorities.
